The Instrument Pool consists of portable research instruments available for short-term (1-3 months)
loan to research grant and studentship holders. Preference is given to researchers and students
funded by the EPSRC but other members of the UK academic community are also able to apply to use the Pool.
Instruments will be transported to the user and demonstrated but it is the responsibility of users
to apply them to their own work and to operate them whilst on loan. Users are also expected to supply
appropriate consumables, take appropriate Health and Safety precautions, and provide adequate insurance
to cover against accidental damage and theft while the instruments are in their possession.
